12mm AV switches.

Got my shipment of 12mm AV switches and momentary to latching converters. Now I just need to decide what order to install  them in. I will be making videos to go along with how I do them.

I am looking forward to this one!   I've wanted to do something like this with a couple of mine for a while now, but lacked the courage to attempt it without some guidance.

Here are the ones I plan to do. I'm thinking of starting with the Bane then the Menaces then the Guardian. Kind of simplest to most complicated, at least as far as disassembly goes.

The videos uploaded so I'm going to try to put them here. It got a bit longer than I planned so I split it in two parts. i talked it all through as if i was teaching a complete beginner. I'll try to refine it some when I do my Guardian and Menaces tomorrow.

And if I'm not mistaking, does this mean I can actually install a switch that will light up on my stunt Aeon?
Does that bevel ring come standard with the switch from TCSS?
And have you mentioned the kid of resistor I need in the movie? (I forgot....)

Yes you can add a lighted switch in a stunt by using that little circuit card I had there. They are just under $5 at TCSS. The ring does not come standard it's a separate purchase and actually costs slightly more than the switch. These videos are only for replacing the guarded switch so an Aeon with one should have the recessed switch hole and not need the ring.  The sabers I'm going to do later today are that way.  The specific resistor you need varies by power source and LED in the switch, the one I used. The ones I used were 430 Ohms. They are much more than needed but safe for the LED and I had them laying around. You could use 150 for cooler colors to 175 for warm colors depending on LED color.

You're the best! Had I feeling I wouldn't need the bevel on my Aeon, ones I took a look at TCSS. And again thank you for the numbers on the resistors, will look into them. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for posting the videos!  I will be watching these.   I also have a couple of stunts I'd love to put lit AVs on.   :-)
