May The Force Serve You Well

« on: March 21, 2020, 11:44:51 PM »

The newest addition to my arsenal is a saberstaff I call "Tal'ya's Tempest."
It's based on an older RP character's saber

We start with an Ultrasabers "Domincide" with 28" blades

The plan is to take a couple of new emitters from TCSS and use them in place of the clawed emitters

Painted in the channels on the new emitters with black to better fit the overall scheme of the saber.
Drilled and tapped holes for the retention screws

The coolest thing here is the effect of the light shining through the vents in the emitters.

Therion, I knew I would not be disappointed with your transformation of this saber. A simple adjustment and she lives. Thank you for sharing. I'm newly motivated to finish the paint job on my Crimson Fallen.

Wow TJ, that is a beautiful saber!  And the emitter swap really gives Tal'ya's Tempest (great name!) a wonderful look, especially when ignited  Smiley

It's always a pleasure seeing your custom mods, TJ and this one is no different^^

A well deserved point!

Great job, you're totally right the vents just add that extra oomph to the look of this sabre, not a huge change in terms of part, but a huge improvement in looks in my opinion.

Hey there, Therion. I have two of those TCSS emitters in my cart as well, I love the way those look and they completely change the Dominicide completely. I like it! Good work and good idea, I may have to borrow this

No worries, Infinit01. If you like it, run with it.
I was also looking for some more 'con-friendly' emitters than the standard ones on the Dominicide

Thank you for that, I've always like that emitter since it was released and I understand about sabers being con-friendly since most cons dislike sharp objects and props. I know of a few cons that don't allow saber blades with the bullet tips

That seems utterly rediculous, but it is what it is.

Please, no one demonstrate that you can still whack someone over the head with that hilt even if the emitters are "rounded" instead of "pointy".   Sheesh....

You know for every rule of what not to do, someone had to do it once, twice, or a few times...
