Decided to go in and fix a couple of flaws in my Mandalorian helmet.

My mandalorian cosplay helmet as originally finished.
Visible here are some areas where the paint had bled under the tape I'd used for masking

And here is the main reason for this update.
I don't really like how this emblem turned out

Used my printer-which opted to be VERY uncooperative-to print up some emblems more along the lines of what I was looking for.
These were painted over with Tamiya clear red to fix some of the printing issues, and are HEAVILY based on the emblem for Games Workshop's "Luna Wolves" Space Marine Legion

Striping cleaned up after decanting some of the spray paint used for the base color.
I also completely painted over the old emblem attempt that had disappointed me

End results:
Clean striping

MUCH better emblem.

Thanks, Dutch
The flaws in that stripe, and the rough nature of the emblem were bugging me

This is incredibly inspiring. I've got a Boba helmet on the way to customize and I also play Warhammer 40k, so I'm going to go through my decals to see what speaks to me.

Thanks, Galef
Markings can be found in many places.
I'd originally tried to mask off and paint, but it looked too clunky for my tastes.

The other badges will find homes elsewhere on my armor

These are incredibly done, sir!

What adhesive do you use? Barge?

I'm circling the drain on trying out creating some foam bracers as it seems a great place to start...so...tempting...

The pattern I have will be a modded Batman 52 gauntlet (minus fins) and uses the thin craft foam sheet, but I was considering the 6mm for a base and layering in details in the thin (2mm?) sheet.

I saw a nice technique where you cut a very narrow slit in the foam and then when you go to heat it up, the slit expands. Thought that would make a nice little detail in the underneath part of the design with an overlay.

Thanks, MRG

I used Weldwood contact cement, which is similar to Barge

The foam bracer idea is an excellent place to start, and the 6mm thickness as a base is an excellent idea. My Therion bracers are 6mm plus Sintra

Using heat to bring out details like that is a very good method. Just be careful with your cuts

Thanks for the feedback Therion! I think the thicker "base" foam will have a better look than what was recommended.

Do you know if any of the Gorilla Glue products would work as well as Barge or Weldwood?

The Gorilla 'super glue' might.
Problem is a tendency for the foam to absorb the liquid glues
You can also use hot glue as an alternative, though
