I have this EXACT same design on my Spectre, except my blade is in Arctic Blue.  Like yourself, I am not a huge Rebels fan, but I currently have no sabers in Arctic Blue and it is a beautiful color.  I love this hilt and it does sit perfectly in the hands.  To me it just looks closer to the actual hilt without the engravings, just a personal opinion.  Excellent choice!
