Salutations, friends and neighbors...
Just curious, but are there any Frankensaber owners here who have given their custom jobs a nickname similar to the US model names, or do you just call it your Frankensaber?
I know I'm gonna end up giving mine some kind of nickname, but what name depends on the look of the thing. Still, I'd love to know what some of you have come up with, if anything.

I got incredibly original with mine... I call it “Frank.”
(Note the sarcasm about the originality.)
Since Frank is a “shared custody” saber because it took a combined order with my buddy to qualify for it, I take Frank with me to various places, and take pictures of myself or other people holding him, or have people take pictures of me holding Frank, and send them to my buddy, similar to a “Flat Stanley” or “Flat Suzie.” My buddy and I get a kick out of it, and when it’s his turn to take care of Frank, he’ll do the same for me.

So far, Frank has been to a local (to me) restaurant or two, a Christmas party, a backyard bonfire, and an official USQ Muggle quidditch tournament. Then the whole COVID-19 thing hit, and going out in public got more awkward.

Sorrry just had to paraphrase that quote  On a serious note however, when I give names to my saber designs I sometimes use an online Thesaurus to come up with alternatives for words that describe my design. So for example if I built a saber for a Padawan I might look up the word "Learner" and get words like "Neophyte", "Scholar" or even...."Initiate"! Hope that helps. |
