Get a pair, and recycle those old ones. Rip Shack (aka Radio Shaft) likely won’t carry them, unless they’ve SERIOUSLY expanded their battery selection since I worked there. Order them from UltraSabers, to make absolutely sure you’re getting the right cells, or go to a REPUTABLE seller (not the cheapest seller on Amazon or eBay), like BatteryJunction.com and get some XTAR, Nitecore, Olight, or Trustfire protected cells.
Again... lithium-ion cells are VERY powerful, and low-quality or off-brand cells can result in fire and/or explosions. Don’t skimp on these.
Just adding my two bits here; anything like replacement rechargeable batteries, a micro-USB cable, a charging cable or whatever, anything like that, I'd order directly from Ultrasabers itself, only because that way you know you're getting something that's compatible with your saber. That's not something you want to mess with. If we're just talking regular double or triple A batteries for a regular stunt saber, I'd go with a brand name like Energizer or Duracell and not some John Doe brand. |

Ok so it was the batteries. I went to a local battery store and got a pair of replacement ones charged them and it is back on. I am now a Jedi again, like my Father before me. (sorry could not resist. I said that to my wife and she just looked over her glasses at me)

Hehehe, we all know that look You guys got off easy; I remember years ago, my wife was reading a Star Wars kid's book to our youngest before bedtime, and she mispronounced the name of a planet (I forget which one) and without thinking, I corrected her just offhand. Bwaahaha! I thought the same thing then very quickly realized it was "obsidian" because i knew what the board was called. When I was trying to show off my new purchase, my wife and kids thought it said exactly the same thing. My wife even said "see, told you" after hearing it. ;-P We all had a great laugh - it seems to whisper it like "hey, guess what?" You can bet i changed that tag first and on the same day. I should say, this happened with the fully charged batteries provided by UltraSabers. I got some extras from WalMart online ( https://www.walmart.com/ip/EBL-4-Pack-14500-Battery-3-7V-800mAh-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Batteries/461750011) and cycle through all regularly. They all seem to behave the same - i have not benchmarked or tested other than regular use. Love the replies implying the saber is speaking to the OP or has intelligence to detect mental limitations. Thanks for the laugh OP - try not to burn yourself with battery acid. If you do, please post a video as a warning to others. |
