Main and Flash LED Only Blinks on Start

Hello!

I recently upgraded my Lightsaber to include a soundboard and speaker! (I already had the flash LED but it wasn't connected). After following the 4th wiring diagram on this forum:

I found the lightsaber makes sound perfectly, but the LED's are not functioning properly. When I ignite it, the main LED flashes for about half a second before turning off again. If I shake it, I can make the clash LED flash as well but only in that half-second before the main LED turns off. Heres the values I used for the build:

Main LED: Green
Clash LED: Orange
Buckpuck: Originally 350 mA, then upped it to a 1000 mA with no success (but the speaker is quieter now)

Resistor: 1.1 Ohm (I plan on switching it out for a higher value as to not burn out my accent LED, but I don't think that would cause the other LED's to function as they are)

Does anyone know why I have this issue? I was thinking maybe the buckpuck was still not high enough grade, but I'm not sure...

What is your power supply? That sounds like a low voltage problem.

The power supply is the 3 triple a battery/speaker combo.

You're running it low on power. That board is designed to run from two 3.4volt lithium ion batteries. That's around 7.4 volts. You are using four 1.5volt batteries for a maximum of 6 volts. After they're used even a little that drops some. You getting enough at start to flash the lights but then its dropping below the needed forward voltage to keep them lit. The board is taking what it needs so you get sound. Then the buck puck takes what it needs. Then there's not enough left to supply the LEDs really.

Oh, I see. So by upgrading to the two lithium ion batteries the LED's should work then? And do I have the correct buckpuck now then? I don't want to accidentally ruin my LEDs by using the wrong buckpuck. And is there anything else I might be missing?

I would expect it to work then. That buck puck should be fine.
