I have been reading up on how Sch 40, 1-1/4 PVC is just a smidge to narrow in diameter to fit around the emitter of the Initiate v2s.  I don't have the saber to test it out for myself, but my proposed solution was to either ream the pipe to hollow it somewhat, or to use a heat gun to soften the PVC enough to force the saber in there at least a few inches.  I am curious however, to hear input from other customizers on this conundrum.

Last time I did something like this, I cut a slit in the PVC.
That way, I could still access the retention screws

Unfortunately, I was hoping for some way to keep the PVC cylinder intact, but thank you very much just the same for the input.

you might be successful with a pvc sink tailpiece the pipe tends to be thinner overall. Iv did my shroud with this in my Invictus build (see below). However the design was open in front TBH. You might be able to finagle some thing.

Here's a thought: use your heat gunand also  do what therion suggests but build a piece to cover that gap and a little filler to hide seams. Once you paint the part, It should look just right.
