Out of curiosity, was there any reasoning behind using 8/32 retention screws in the Ultrasabers?  Obviously they get the job done, but would larger size retention screws provide more surface to hold the blade in place, or is there some unforeseen disadvantage to a larger screw size?

The larger the screw the fewer complete threads there will be when tapped into a round object.

Ah, so you are saying that the greater number of complete threads will grant a greater degree of retention then.  That makes sense; thank you very much.
