Coming so soon after the Bethesda purchase, Wow, they are really amping up the content control, Star Craft 3 Xbox Exclusive LOL.  Seriously though this is a very bold play, but Video games are bigger than movies now and they lost  the browser battle with google so arguably taking wins where they can get them very strategically.
