It is a shame that US does not yet make coplers that are female on both ends.. This would be easy, and make for amy more customizationsfor the cliten base. I have been looking for a way toget my initiate v3 hilt top to be threaded with female threads as i want to use one of the pommels as an emitter, but my initiate v3 does not have Any threading at all on the top... i cant figure out where to go to get this done either.. Any suggestions?
We have an Ultrasabers Wish List stickied somewhere. It has yielded some really great things like Recharge Ports and flush couplers. Might be a good place to ask. |

You could take it to a machine shop and have it done or, if you know someone with a good tap & die set, you could simply tap the threads yourself. There may be enough metal in the emitter to tap it a standard MHS thread like the pommel but you will need to check by removing your blade and pressing the threaded end of your pommel into the emitter. (Don't shove it or try to screw it in, just see if the threads touch the inside wall and prevent it from sliding in) If this is the case, then you have enough there to tap it MHS size. You may need to modify or relocate the blade retention hole. If you do this, make sure you apply some white grease to the threads BEFORE coupling or it may seize! |

Great choice, including the pommel! (That's my exact setup). The shroud extends around 1.25" to 1.5" from the main hilt. It's shorter than the D. Arbiter, and the shroud isn't really a part one can grab anyway, so it's just cosmetic.   |

Cool so the Bane isn't as big as I thought. US doesn't have the measurements on the buy page like usual. Smaller than the Bellicose. Overlord isn't half bad length either.

19.5 inches from claw tip to claw tip. 28.6 oz with AV switch, sound and batteries installed, and thin walled poly blade attached. |

So glad I found this thread. I'm sad that the initiates are too short for me. I don't even have Wookie size hands, I'm just more comfortable with a hilt I can actually fit both hands on.

This question goes out to anyone who can answer it, and forgive me if its a stupid question, but on the Dark Initiate V3 is the top of the hilt and the bottom the same width? In the pictures they look like they are different widths, but I dont know if that is just the angle of the picture or the actual hilt. Thanks to anyone who can answer!

It varies as you go up the hilt, from about 1.45" at the black grip to about 1.6" at the base of the shroud. |
