Just put these measurements in a spreadsheet so I can order it easier. hmm.. one handed sabers or best ones to make a staff are Initiates, Prophecy and Shocks.. although the Prophecy is not the handiest for a staff.

Some additional info on the Raven, that I find helpful.

Raven: SS Pommel, SS claws, 4 Energizer Recharge NiMH batteries, Obsidian, standard midgrade blade weighs - 837.2g or 1lb 13.53oz

Balance is roughly where the screw is located on the claw.

Total length - 47inches

Hilt + Claws - 20 3/4ths inches.

Hilt - Claws - 13 1/4 inches

Usable grip (Area where my hand can rest without compromising the grip on the blade - includes the pommel and the shroud up to the claws) - 10 3/4ths inches.

Intended grip - 8 1/4th inches.

What is the diameter of the Raven hilt? I was thinking about buying a Shock LE but I had the opportunity to hold a Raven recently and I feel that it was to think for me. I definitely want a saber with a smaller diameter.

Just found this site today (wow was I on the wrong internet highway!)  and was looking at the custom components.  I have really big hands and was wondering has anyone tried this build configuration?
Emitter
Coupler
Body
Coupler
Pommel

I was thinking of:
Manticore emitter   (if there was a length on the Manticore I missed it, but estimated 2")
Black & Silver coupler with vents   1.75"
Dark War Glaive Body   7.5"  (but I wish the Consular body was available as a component)
Flush black finish coupler (maybe with vents?)   1.75"
Malice round Pommel   1.2"

This would make a saber about 14.2" long

Some slight problems GR:  Couplers have double male connections.  You could do the Manticore Emitter + Dark War Glaive Body + Malice Round Pommel.  That would work perfectly.  Unless you are using the Archon V2 or trying to make a staff, the couplers are not going to be of much use.

Blue, thanks for the info.    Smiley    I was not confidant my proposed component mix would work and you gave very clear and valid reasons why.

In a second look, the War Glaive RGB body has greater length approximately the same as one of the couplers was intended to add.

<sigh> It's not like I can afford another custom sword yet, so I'll just have to save up.  Maybe by the time I have the cash, more design options for Wookie pawed Jedi will be available.... Wink  Like maybe male/female extenders will have been added as component options, or a wider variety of long body's will be available.

For big hands, the Arbiter and the Malice seem to fit the bill quite well.  I personally like the Arbiter because you can swing it like a baseball bat with a 40" blade attached.

It is a shame that US does not yet make coplers that are female on both ends.. This would be easy, and make for amy more customizationsfor the cliten base. I have been looking for a way toget my initiate v3 hilt top to be threaded with female threads as i want to use one of the pommels as an emitter, but my initiate v3 does not have Any threading at all on the top... i cant figure out where to go to get this done either.. Any suggestions?
