Hello there! I'm a maker, and have been really interested in having my own dueling saber, as it's something my partner really seems to enjoy. I was looking into buying one straight up, but I didn't want to pay so much for something I was *mostly* happy with when I could feasibly design and build my own with compatibility with the same parts hers uses. I'll likely be posting about my fully custom saber and the trials and tribulations I'll be running with it, as well as my related projects. I'll have to start with doing some research about specs of existing sabers though.

Hello, welcome to the forum. A good way to check out sabers are the mystery boxes that UltraSabers offer unless you want specific specs on them, it's a great way to get into it
