Hi guys,

This is my first time posting here, and I wanted to ask the hive mind something that I couldn't find using the search function (there are a lot of posts y'all).  I have some Birchwood Casey Bluing.  I was wondering if that was ok to put on a saber hilt?  Also, I sent one member a message, but I figured I would ask here as well, but how does one treat a lightsaber before painting?  I have 4 sabers, one for each family member, and a lot of model acrylic paints.  I wanted to let my kids, in particular, be able to design their sabers.  I assume cleaning and sanding is involved.  After dry brushing and designing whatever they want to design, how does one seal it?  With models, it is just an acrylic clear coat, but that might come off a bit tacky to the touch after swinging it around like an 8 year old usually does.  Anywho, thanks in advance.  Have a great week
