Need help with custom build

I recently decided to upgrade my old Ultrasabers custom build with the Obsidian V4 Lite module and the Neopixel connector.  I've seen all the technical data and the button works just fine.  I think I have the data cable connected properly, but every time I try to connect the power cables to the indicated terminals either nothing happens or it seems like it shorts out.  I was hoping someone could help me out with either a picture of the correct setup or instructions on what I might be doing wrong.  Any helpful feedback would be appreciated.
