Ever since the mid-night premiere of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, I've been dying to get my paws on a Darth Sidious lightsaber. Unfortunately, all of them are already sold and the wait for a force fx sidious is too grueling. So I've decided to meet half-way and make a stunt sidious, but I'm perplexed on which ultrasaber to customize for this one-handed saber design. I am already aware of the fact that my limited prop-making experience will make this saber project an extremely daunting task; but that's not going to stop me.

Which Ultrasaber would you recommend as a base to build around?

Thats a single hand saber right?
Yoda's to small, Obi's to thin, Dart's fat etc....

You can just buy parts at (no other saber stores links "hinted" here allowed)
for the individual tubing that I can imagine
with your saber design.

this saber cannot be easily duplicated at all. There are resin pieces on ebay that people have bought and hollowed out and made into LED sabers.

Your best bet it to wait for an FX Sidious. Even if you make one you'll probably end up buying one when it comes out anyway.

That nub ccould double as an eye-poker! The hilt doesn't suit my style but it was definately made for someone with an elegan, but massive ego. It fits Palpatine perfectly.
