This is my third customization of the same saber.  I just can't seem to sit still with it.

The body of the staff was made w/ pvc and the wrappings are black leather.

I chose not to match the color of the body of the staff w/ that of the emitter (the saber).  The idea is that the body is constructed out of a lightsaber resistant material such as phrik so that blows can be blocked with the staff and the blade.

This was the saber of a sith that I took after a duel and replaced the crystal.

You can't really see it in the picture but I did to some scuff and blemishes on the body of the staff.

Thanks. I really wanted to put a ring on the end like Darth Nihl, but I was at a loss to how to do it soI decided to nix it for now.

Well you could get a Y shaped PVC piece, then attach some 45's to give it a round feel. Though im not sure how it would look.

I'll have to look into that.  I'm also thinking making another saber staff from scratch and using ultra saber parts.

That is an awesome build. When you have a moment I'd love to see the blemishes up close.

Fire Orange or Sentinel Yellow LED.

As soon as I get a chance I'll take a few pictures.  It's Fire Orange but I like that it looks Sentinel Yellow in the pictures.  The next saber I order will either be a dark initiate in Sentinel Yellow or a grab bag (and I'll hope for the best  Wink).

I too have always been a fan of saber staff's.

I've always wondered if I could construct my own saber staff simply by purchasing tons of attachments and extensions from TCSS and attaching it to one of my Phantasm Initiate's?

I'd do it but there's a question on hilt durability.

I'd say you could do it, but it's be pretty expensive to buy all those extensions. lol Probably cheaper to get a sink tube adapter, a really long piece of pipe, and another adapter.

BTW, this staff looks great! FO FTW! Cool

i personally think staff sabers are a great idea and have great applications in the saber community.  I mean, was the Naginata not a versatile and deadly weapon?  It was, and a staff saber with a similar design would be no exception.

great work man!  it looks good!

Ah yes, pipes and sink tube adapters.

So, just for sake of argument, I could purchase a long piece of pipe at let's say, Home Depot, (with the correct thread-size dimensions of course ) and attach it to a TCSS sink-tube adapter and to my Phantasm Initiate V3?
