Ah, see there's that orange that doesn't always show up in the other pics. These are some tricky colors indeed!
I think, when I do get my next saber, I'm going to go with the SY. Thanks so much for this thread and pics, talk about a huge help in trying to decide on one of those colors!

Wow, that pyrestone is just a beautiful shade. This is most likely a silly question, but is pyrestone achieved through filters? Or is it one of the colors you can special order like DVA or SY?

I've probably done this before, but I'll go ahead and toss up a list of colors and how they're made: Single color LED - Blazing Red, Consular Green, Guardian Blue, Adegan Silver, Fire Orange RGB LED - Sunriders Destiny, Arctic Blue, Violet Amethyst, Dark Violet, Bane's Heart, Sentinel Yellow, Pyrestone Filter colors - too many customizations to list! The filters give you numerous options, and you have many ways to use them. Throwing them on the Adegan Silver will allow for some neat colors, while using them with an RGB led will give you the option to "tweak" the color one way or another (since they're made using two light diodes). |

Which of these colors do you find looks better in standard (edge) blades vs the ones that look better in the ultraedge blades?
Or do all three behave pretty much the same?

Well, loving my FO as I do, this thread has really given me an opportunity to see more of PO and SY and I will eventually have to have one of each of those I think, at the very least as MLS units with the quick disconnects.

No worries, you're just double checking; go here though for future reference. http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=4475.0========================================= You do just what you said, choose a $5 color and specify that you'd like PYRESTONE ORANGE instead of Violet Amethyst. Props go to Nero for the Idea of Capping the color so it doesn't get missed. |
