Binge watching Rocko's Modern Life. I identify with this show more as a thirty-something that I did as an eight year old.

I agree that the adult jokes are much more enjoyable now that I actually understand them lol. What I was referring to was that the adult references are also great to catch. You can't tell me at 10 years old you knew who Virginia Woolf was or understood anything about Nietzsche. Also I greatly appreciate that a lot of the episodes are about legit adult problems... Take episode 1, Rocko gets a credit card and its all about his mismanaging it then going into credit card debt. At the end of the show I just sat there and was like omg that is exactly how it is... this isn't a kids show its an adult show stang it! |
