Wow. Found an old music video from the band that eventually became Sonic Syndicate, and it is awesome. Definitely love the fact that the vocals stand out more in the mix, unlike on the album version, where it just blends in with the instrumentals. The solo isn't nearly as good as the one on the album though. Funnily enough this amateur video is better than most professional videos I've seen. BEHOLD!

The Weak Willed by All That Remains. The growls are absolutely mind-blowing. Guess that's what happens when your lead vocalist is a U.S. marine (amazing breath control leads to amazing power behind the vocals). I would be totally winded if I attempted these.

Hmmm...the last time I said what came to mind about the music posting I caught death metal hell for it. But those last handful...those were interesting. I get it that this is more of a what someone is currently listening to rather than posting for votes of favor or bane...but surely on some level there is hope by the poster for "hey yay man I love that also". Well, maybe it is just me. But the super fast constant guitar stroke, growling, and guttural vocalizing leaves me cold and wanting to turn it off. And I like metal...I just prefer to understand what the person is saying. It was mentioned that the lyrics were a favorite aspect of one of the songs/band...surely this means reading them, because understanding grgrgrggagataggaggagtgrgtgagaggagagagagaaaoooooooooooooooammamahahhahahhammmmmmrrrrrraaaaaaaa as a lyric is beyond me. I looked up the lyrics and was astounded. Decent words and meaning indeed. If only I could make out some of it while it was being sung. These are just thoughts, not an attack...it may be my ears for not catching the words...either way, like what you like...listen to what you want to...it is all good in the hood! |

I was going through my music to see if I had any growling music, hypocrosy is an ugly girl to wake up next to you know? I did have one that is a bit odd...these guys...all there songs remind me of opera...good vs evil...like the beautiful music was invoking a demon or some such lol. Anyway I grabbed a link to share my guilty growling pleasure...for the record I don't care what he is growling, it is the intent behind it
