So while we are on the topic of incredible keyboardist, let's talk about Ray Manzarek.
You know the keyboardist from the Doors. He is the champion in my book.
He had to play to a room full of dirty hippies while another drunken hippie tried to peal himself out of leather pants so he could expose himself to the crowd. All the while Ray Manzarek was so professional, he never missed a note. A true champion!
Hi Kaiser, great pick and I agree a fantastic musician. The band I was in did "Riders on the Storm" and I had to learn that classic. I'm not a big Jazz/Blues player but the way that song "rolls" along with the walking bassline then that "Rainfall" run of notes is magic - you can't help but think/see raindrops.
But to be fair to all the keyboardists we've mentioned they all bring something to the discussion...we were spoilt for choice. Keith Emerson (ELP) Jean-Michele Jarre, Wakeman, King Gizzard....onto Christine McVie...
I could name more but I'll finish here.
