Yeah, thinking like a fan boy can be good for business (except when you end up like George Lucas with the prequels pandering to the lowest common denominator)

What I mean to say is that everyone and their cat knows who Palpatine, Tano and Qui Gon are. Did Kit Fisto's name ever get mentioned in the movies? Did he have any LINES? I don't know. And I know Ki Adi Mundi didnt.

How many people out there could possibly be a die hard Ki Adi Mundi fan? And add to that the number of wealth lunatics who would buy a hasbro saber just to say they have a complete collection. That's their customer base. Most people arent buying hasbro sabers for dueling as far as I'm aware so that idea's out.

One would imagine that they'd want to offer the sabers of more popular characters first for business reasons alone, not to mention because there are obviously more people who would love to have them than some bit character's weapon. (I know Ki and Kit aren't bit characters, I just mean in the movies)

Qui Gon's is a really simply lightsaber too, it'd be easy to make and great for dueling if converted given how sleek it is.

Didn't Ki Adi Mundi have some lines in a council meeting or something?

Eh, either way they still kinda dropped the ball on the Fisto saber with stuff like Starkiller, Kota, Maris Brood, Qui-Gon, Mara Jade, and a multitude of other sweet sabers unrealized.

Ki Adi Mundi had one or two lines in TPM when they Qui Gon and Obi-Wan were talking to the council about the sith/ anakin i believe.

Of course Kit is a choice because of the Clone Wars. And they very much dropped the ball on Qui-Gon. I know I am one of those that loves his hilt design. And they have it too. Just need to stick a blade in it and they got it.

And on the note of the characters having lines. Ki-Adi did have a couple. Kit had one, it was more like "Arrghhghhh!!!" in Ep.III

I'd bet that Qui-Gon saber was a pain to get for the rights.

The more I think about it the more I think they need a Mara Jade saber for all the ladies out there that rock the costume and don't want to spend 400 bucks on a saber. Ultra, maybe you should step in here!

Totally agree with you there, Jammo. You do not see enough sabers out there for the females. And the purple blade would look great on it for any girl I think. I would like to see concept designs of sabers for the EU though. Maybe for Leia and Jaina. Tenal's was cool, but still a little man-ish. Lumiya saber maybe? Just without the whip.

Anyway i will buy these and maybe even try to convert one to a p4 or luxeon. If that fails i will gut it out for the soundboard

Wow, I never really thought of how many great sabers there are with green blades. They really dropped the ball on Kit, didnt they? Even a Luminara saber would have been cool.

The nice thing about the Fisto saber is that this is the exact same saber used by Eeth Koth and a few other Jedi. So this will appeal to multiple costumers.

One cool option now that they offer removeable blades would be to offer other color blade inserts, to make the saber blue (like Mace Windu's original TPM saber, before the Visual Dictionary decided to give him some other design).

Makes me hope they offer Ki-Adi Mundi (which'd also work for Aayla Secura, or Anakin on Geonosis if it were green) or Adi Gallia (also good for Shaak Ti and Obi-Wan on Geonosis) sabers down the line. They'd also tie into the Clone Wars.

I just made my own Qui Gon (super easy to do) and an Ahsoka saber as well out of some ultrasabers I got ahold of. Definitely very proud of these.
