I'd happily go, but it was $1,500 or so for my wife to fly to NY to see Hanson for a week a few years ago. We don't have another $1500 sitting around unforetanetly.'

At the moment we have postponed our yearly Las Vegas trip, I"m starting a new job so funds are tight, but next year I'll be able to travel more. Being on the "wrong" coast causes some problems.

Also, I've always wanted the opportunity to have us meet up at a con, and walk around in a sort of "saberforum gang", with our Ultrasabers on our belts. That would just be too cool.

I can picture it now, say 20-30 US Forumites walking around together, run into 20-30 "fancy saber people", some John Williams starts playing, everyone ignites their sabers, Forumites walk forward and preppies freak out because "This is a collector's item! You can't duel with it!"

True, but even the most untrained of us would have more experience than people that only take their sabers out for cons. I know I'm untrained but I spar and practice...besides with my strength I think I could make a nice mess of some collector's sabers lol |
