I finished my Aeon DIY build with an Obi-Wan sound board today. I had a machinist drill a 7/8" hold through the pommel to let the sound out. All I need to do now is glue in some sort of screen or speaker grate in the hole to protect the speaker. Check it out:   And a little movie to show the sound effects: http://flic.kr/p/9iZSAL |

That turned out SWEET! I love the color, and the grip is just awesome. Sounds like you did a good job putting in the soundboard. Excellent work!  Makes me a little jealous... lol |

I agree this came out great!! I especially dig the spiral pattern on the grip and the flashing effect on startup. Looks very professional!

Thanks everyone! The flash kind of washes out the color of the leather. It's more of a natural tan leather finish, much better looking in person.

this is awesome, ive been thinking of doing the same thing and u totally inspired me to go through with it. i thought that with the economy board it would sound kind of lame but it sounds awesome!!

Very nicely done ! I like it : ) The DIY hilts are so rewarding when you put the econo sound in them. I favor the obi wan myself.
