You guys get the good news here first. Two new sabers. The Dark Liberator & The Dark Standard Issue. People made a lot of requests for these and we tried our best to squeeze them out before the holiday. This is a saber that we will continue to manufacture, but for now we were only able to get a hand full of them before Christmas. Enjoy!!! Judging from the attached photos, let me be the first to say you really outdid yourself with the Dark Liberator Ultra. Looks like it's definitely been worth the wait. Can't wait until mine arrives in the mail.

These sabers are sick, I can't wait to couple two Dark Liberators together to make the best staff ever. (At least the best staff so far.) You've outdone yourselves.

Hey I'm new here to this Forum, hope to more products in the future, I was excited to see the 15% discount underway so I hurried and made my account and let you guys know what I'll be swinging. I may go for the Liberator!

A dark SI or Liberator staff would be sweet.

I'm starting out in this new world of sabers though I've used padded weapons for quite a while. Anyone know if there is much of a performance difference between the Dark Liberator and the V2?

That's a good question. . . They all look really similar.

The V2? Which one we talking about here. The Liberator looks to have a groove in the middle, so that would effect your grip. I wouldnt want that. But that is just me. The rest of the metal V2 hilts, like the Initiate and such, seem to have more of a firmer handle on it. I like a solid emitter that doesnt run the risk of the saber flying out while executing a move.

any chance that the method you guys used for these sabers will be used for the Dominix v2? (anodize then cut grooves)

These are both pretty great. I'm not sure which one I want more, though. I'm wondering which would be more useful in a duel. The Dark Standard looks solid enough, but the Dark Liberator has that concave grip. I wonder how the grip would affect the handling of the saber...

I have a Liberator and a Standard Issue. The groove on the Liberator has very little effect on handling. Sometimes it seems to improve grip during spins, but not enough that it gives you a real advantage. I like the Standard Issue hilt a little better, its heavier and a little thicker, it just seems more substantial, even though the Liberator is a prettier hilt.

Is either longer than the other? I prefer a longer-hilted saber so I can get the leverage for powerful slashes and parries. The Standard Issue sounds better to me, too, but I just want to make sure before I make a decision.
