I'm looking at shorter blades my self, Under hand sword style, and dagger end length, so I need a blade that 28" to 29", and another 8" to 10", is it difficult to cut the blades down?  I was worried that because of the inside of the blade there may be some serious finishing processes, sanding, deburring, etc., and I don't want to damage the reflective quality of the blade

Literally all you need to do is take a PVC cutter and cut it. The film will be there but just take a razor and slice it off cleanly. You might have to take a dremel and sand it down a little, but probably not.

Apprechiate the feed, now I know not to just saw straight through, I probably would have destroied the film on accident.

Maybe maybe not... I can't confirm or deny that because I had to remove the film complete due to the fact I got it wet on the inside. But if you use the PVC cutter and take of the desired amount of blade, the film should be exposed. When it's exposed you can just lob it off.
