the saber i ordered is on backorder right now, for shipping do you get sent a message asking what you preffer when the saber is ready?

If I get your meaning, I don't recall.  Ultra sabers is super fast unless your saber of choice is on back order.  The shipment is track able on fedex.  No sure what you mean by "what you prefer". There really is only one option now and it is quite quick.
