That would be a H&K g36k.
Do not use that particular one to fire with, its carbage, the piston teeth, and gear teeth will strip, and are likely made of vinyl or plastic. With some paint, and extra bits and bobs added on however, yes it could make a very good looking star wars esque blaster rifle.
My bad, didnt realise it was a springer. Yep thats only usefull as a prop, and is going to be as fragile as you can imagine. Definately reinforce evertyhing on it, primer it, and paint it, the body finish will likely be pretty bad. Even though its black, and you want a black blaster rifle, you will have to repaint it.

its a good base for a non firing prop, with lots of space in it, where you should be able to mount electronics. Speakers, leds to create muzzle flash. Indicator lights, etc.

$20 for such a great prop base sounds pretty good.
And Veldryne makes an excellent point about all the space to customize the interior.
No, lightsaber first, then worry about prop blasters. Bad Jedi, no biscuit.

If everyone likes, I can get a list together of what firearms would make good blaster bases, and why I think so, and then it's just a matter of funding cheap springer Airsoft versions to convert.
I'll look into size, approximate weight, accessory rails, and internal space for modifications as criteria.

I used the all metal version with the long mag for my own DL-44 build. Easy to use and stacks up nicely next to my Denix to boot. |
