That is awesome, DM! I wanted to do some weathering on my scorpion too. What color paints did you use? Did you do the same color for the silver and black parts or different colors? Thank you, man.

It's all about the Benjamins, and I don't have many, but ideally, I want a Manticore CE in SY with Obsidian for Emerald, FoC orange.

Nice job on the weathering look with the paint and dry brush, from the pics it appeared to have physical damage.

Is there a way to do this to the Bellicose? I might "damage" the shroud some and make the black parts look used.

But the Bellicose is so beautiful D:

The weathering looks nice on that saber particularly, nice job.

Great tutorial! I'll try this with my Dark Sentinel I bought from a friend. I was wondering, will this work with metallic black paint and a silver hilt?

It'll give the hilt a sense of being dirty, but it won't give it the same worn down look that silver on black gives.
You would need to get the black into the grooves and what have you to give it a true worn down look.

It really depends how far you want to go with it, generally when I weather a plain aluminum hilt I cover the entire thing in a very thin layer of black/bronze/whatever color and then slowly remove it with fine grit sand paper until I achieve the look I want.

I have two black aluminum hilts, and they just don;t look all that lightsaber-ish or metallic to me right now, so I thought I'd weather them to add a nice look, thank you for the help!
