UtraFire 18650 3.7v 3000mAh AA Lithium-Ion Batteries

Just wondering if these would be usable in an UltraSaber with Obsidian/BuckPuck?  I have an VA Raven (read: Two LEDs to make that color), and FOC, and I was thinking this higher capacity battery set might extend the recharge cycle a bit.  They are pretty reasonable in price, and if it means more fun, and less recharge, it is a price worth paying indeed!

They would work just fine, but you would need a completely different battery holder since the one we send with our sabers holds 2x 14500 batteries and 18650 batteries are much bigger.

also they are so big u would need to stack them vertical, they wont fit side by side without modding

Well, not all.  But, enough to be noticed.  I guess my first concern is whether they are standard AA size, and can work in an UltraSaber.  Then it would be a matter of finding an alternative brand, with better reviews, that will fill the bill just the same.

Thanks Emory.  Actually, the 14500's I have are still working within spec.  I was just on the lookout to make a good thing (my power eating saber), even better. 

I used to build my own computers, and overclock them to eek out just a little more performance from them, so long as it did not push things to the danger point.  The vibe of this community seems very similar, with their constant experimentation with the look, feel, and functionality of their sabers - then sharing that information with the folks here that appreciate those efforts.  I feel right at home here in that respect.

Of course, if there is ever an in-hilt battery/port recharge option (preferably with a bigger battery), I will be all over that!
