Okay, do what I did lots of light coats from about a foot and a half away. It tries in 10 min, so go back every hour or so and do another coat. Keep it up over a couple of days don't do it all at once. It will keep it more even that way.

Being as close as I was it drove me nuts. So last night I snagged the green led from my dark prophecy.
Yup the white one must have been fried because the green worked. Abd she hums beautifully. Once my replacement leds come in I'll put the green back where it belongs.
I'm so happy that it's finished and usable and it sounds fantastic. And holy crap is it LOUD.
Guess having built my own confirms it. I am a Jedi.

its the soundboard
its a novasound dark 3.0
im really hoping when ultra makes an obsidian 3.0 board it has the led drivers for flicker effect, id love to be able to swap the soundfonts on the board with the novasound, but unfortunately you cant
you can just order the light, or the dark soundboard, but regardless it was 60$ before shipping when i snagged it on ebay, so im not complaining

Yeah im really hoping that the next gen obsidian boards have that blade flicker. Overall i do prefer the obsidain just cos you can do so much with it. I just used the novasound board because it was cheap on ebay and had a neat effect.
Having not done any wiring in years, as i stated before. The thought of accidentally frying an obsidian board honestly horrified me.

Seriously though, that no longer looks like an Archon... which is a good thing! Not that I don't like the Archon (I'm a Luke ROTJ fan so I LOVE it), I just love to see unique hilts. That is definitely unique!

thanks kham, it looks gorgeous in yellow as well btw, though i do prefer the AS, corran was always my favourite character hehe my next build is going to be my take, on his saber, based on multiple bits of artwork from a few different pieces of source material, combining them all into one   |
