Yeah when i was ordering the Prophecy my inspiration was Starkiller too, didnt want exactly the same ofc. But the design of the prophecy is just so damn smooth, it looks like it could be used in this time. Its direct, yet fiercefull, i could go on xD

I took a normal ultra edge since i wont be hitting anything, i could always order some new blades when the time ever comes il be hitting someone or thing xD

Il keep an eye on the way of the saber threads Wink

Black Star Sabers

Hey Martyr, glad to have you on the forums! Let me start by saying that this community is awesome. I started back here in May and got my first saber on May 4th. I have very little professional training and two left feet. Master Nonymous and his Terra Prime videos have helped tremendously. My own personal style is Shii-Cho, and I want to learn Soresu eventually. As for where to post what, let me give you a little bit of advice.

General posts with pictures can go into the Ultra Sabers Gallery found here: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?board=10.0

General posts with videos can go into the Videos section found here: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?board=13.0

The Way of the Saber forum has lots of discussion on the different forums and many people post their training videos and pictures there. You can find those forums here: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?board=14.0

Other than that, feel free to post pictures and videos anywhere, really. If you want to post pictures, I advise creating an account on Photobucket or Imager instead of uploading to Facebook. When you link to Facebook, it can cause issues if your privacy settings are very restrictive. Plus, if you link from Facebook, you can't see the photos here. All you get is a link. I personally use Photobucket. It's free and easy to use. Plus, the pictures show up in the thread and people don't have to click a link to see them. For example, here's a photo of me doing some training on the beach:

Once you have a photo uploaded, you can hover your mouse over it, and you'll get four different types of links: Email & IM, Direct Link, HTML Code, and IMG Code. If you single click the IMG Code link it'll automatically copy it to your clipboard which you can paste here. It'll look similar to this: [IMG ]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Ironfeld/UltraSabers/2012-05-12185301.jpg[ /IMG]. I've added spaces to the image tags so you can see what the code looks like. But when you post, you'll see the photo. It's easy, free, and fun!

As for videos, the Ultra Sabers team has made it very easy to add them to your posts. Create a YouTube account and upload your videos normally. When you want to share a video with us, just copy and paste the URL directly into the post. The URL will look something like this: http://www. youtube .com/watch?v=MyuH_BKBcPc. I've added spaces into the URL to break it so you can see what the URL would look like. The result is this:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyuH_BKBcPc" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyuH_BKBcPc</a>

The video is embedded directly into the thread and people can watch it from here without having to go to another site. Quick, easy, and fun. If you have any other questions, please ask. The community here is awesome and will always have a great answer for you. Hope you enjoy yourself. Look forward to seeing your training grounds!!

Take care,

-Sol

Nice intro Solinus Smiley

Welcome new addict Tongue

Yes... We have more then enough instructors and vids here to make sure you learn how to handle a saber. Just remember that spinning is not everything. I see it mainly as part of Soreso... handling a sword well is not bound on being able to spin it. It is important that you can hold it wel... even when it is blocked and that you can shift to other stances or attacks without hitting yourself. Control though can be gained from practicing spinns.

thanks Solinus for the right links to the right threads =D

About that facebook posting, if you post the normal links yes then you get those problems. BUT if you take only the picture, thus the link of the picture everything will be fine, in the review thread i have pics of my grab bag Liberator, they come from my facebook, and are not just links, they are the whole picture ^^ But ofc there are more roads that lead to rome, take whatever you feel comfterble with Smiley
