I confess that I got the wrap handle idea from Natalia's thread: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=453.0
The wrap is a craft leather strip that I bought from a hobby shop, and a 1mm silver/pearl leather cord wrapped around the outside of that.

I got the idea for the grip on the end from Anakin/Vader's hilt.  They're rubber parts cut from windshield wiper blades.

Overall, I'm fairly happy with it although I think its far from perfect.  I think I need to add something between the switch and the emitter, but I'm not sure what I could do with that.  Most importantly, I learned alot from doing this, and if I'm going to customize any future hilts I know I'm not going to approach it the same way I did this project. What do you think?

You might want to add some silver between the rubber grips on the end there to make them stand out more. Cool idea about the windshield wiper blades though, I might try that sometime!

That's purdy.  My only thing with is that it looks rough around the rubber grips.  And the emitter doesn't look too bad.  Maybe a silver glyph or something.

Not really my style. But it's also not my saber, so that doesn't matter. As long as you're happy with it that's all that counts. You made it your own.
