I feel you, I'm SORELY tempted to pick up a Consular Emitter to play around with on mine, but I think I'd want to sand it back to all silver if I did. Both to make it match, and just in case I ever DO get a Consular for myself. I figure if I got around to the Shock after all this time, and with my bad spending habits  It's not impossible. lol

Oh, man, I almost forgot.... you have to tell me if it has a Grooved pommel. Mine came with a Grooved Pommel and I have yet to see another that has. I'm curious if I got a sweet goof, or if they're all like that now.

nope no grooved pommel, and tract was mistaken on the switch, its not one of the toggle switches, but it is a latching one, not momentary, so i dont have the lock up sound, not that it bothers me lol

Whatthe? Latching switch on Obsidian? That's weird. I've never heard of one set up that way before. Man, I thought that hilt would look good in AB..... Again, congrats on making history Vel. (and thanks for answering the pommel question!)

Latching... whaaaaa?  I am confused... I didn't think Obsidian would operate using a latching switch.

oh im sure it works fine, it just cant activate the lockup sound, which isnt a big deal because i dont lock very often lol, now what emitter to replace the shock emitter with....i do have those graflex type screws coming in very soon, might have to get another emitter like i have on vindicator lol

I wonder..... is it really Obsidian, or is it the old MR Jedi or Sith Sound perhaps? Or maybe it's some kind of freaky Obsidian Prototype board? That last one would make a degree of sense, at least explaining why it would show up in a Grab Bag since it has no lockup feature. *shrug* My mind is still blown that there has been a second Chosen One.

I'am in agreement with my fellow mods you are one lucky ducky!  I though remain skeptical, I think it may be a bad obsidian board  where the lock up broke, but every thing else was fine on the board. Thus making them have to put it in a grab bag and not offer it in a new saber. As for being a latching switch how can you tell? I could never tell the difference between switches.

I believe one clicks, and the other does not. I could be mistaken, but I do know all my momentary switches do not click, and all my stunt sabers have switches that click. I like to try and push them down far enough to turn on the saber without clicking. It's fun, cause then when other people try to turn them off, they have to hit it twice, and it confuses them. I think I've been at work to long today....

Ultra put up a video when the shock first came out and that had an obsidian board with a latching switch. You might have gotten one of those early demo sabers!
