The battery compartment / saber body seems like a good place to keep the retention screw wrench so you don't lose it. My suggestion is to provide a plastic pouch to place the wrench inside. Then you can safely place the wrench inside the pommel without fear of anything shorting out or rattling around.
Another idea is to tape the wrench to the flat side of the battery holder.

Holy crap an organic saber would be awesome! Especially a Vong Coral looking thing. I'm loving the NJO series right now so of course I would like that idea lol. Here's a random thought... although with all the pages on this thread it's probably been said already. How about a saber with some kind of grip to it? Like an aluminum saber wrapped in some type of fake leather or rubbery grip. The original TFU2 sabers spring to mind, not necessarily exactly like that but something along the same lines. |

Deedzy & Nero those are some great ideas! One saber I always wanted to see done was the Tenel Ka Lightsaber. Rancor tooth and all would loot great I think.

I would like to see a some more electrical options in the "Build Your Own Lightsaber", such as a Black Illuminated Antivandal Switch (would look amazing on a Dark WarGlaive), And how about some simple blinking LED drivers for stuff like the led in the anti vandal switch.

I'd kind of like to see a saber with a rubber grip integrated in, kinda like this:  (The two in the foreground, not the Obi-Wan.) |
