Suggestion Box/Wishlist: what do we want from Ultrasabers?

You can request a latching illuminated AV switch for your saber when you contact Emory at [email protected] before ordering your saber. I'm sure he'll meet your request After all, stunt Graflexes/Chosen Ones come standard with AV switches, and you can even pick an illuminated switch, so they have those in stock - but they're not sold as stand-alone items on their webpage.

please confirm that, because I would order a stunt prophecy right now!

And as for the Graflex/Chosen One AV switches, well, just have a look at their stunt saber sites and then go to Anti Vandal Switch Type. I just concluded that they must be latching switches since it's a stunt saber...if I'm wrong about that, then you're free to correct me

Ah so it appears they can be ordered and the installation part needs to be done afterwards by the owners. Not that i am not handy i would prefer that something as nice looking as the sabers I buy from US, but US does phenomenal work and I'd much rather prefer the more experienced smiths hands inside my hilt.

I think they will do that for you if you ask them to. I also thought of installing AV switches on my Aeons, but now I'm thinking about sending it back for that upgrade rather than doing it myself...I'm all thumbs regarding electronics, metal working etc. And before I mess up my sabers I let the more experienced ones doing this kind of work.

I would think so...maybe at an additional charge for drilling the hole, but I'm confident that they will meet even this kind of request

Free Shipping on Claws may be a good idea. Though the Weight may make that unreasonable for Ultrasabers Business wise.

There is an entire containment thread for asking about the black blade. Also there are at least 2 discussion threads for "curved hilts" as well, just in case you didn't know.

Take it from someone who's been here long enough to know black blades are damn near impossible to mimic, and the Mando flat blade can be done, but I wouldn't recommend using it against the cylindrical blades used here. Shatter like glass it would!

Hey guys...is anyone up on the current luxeon technology?  Have they come out with a more powerful version in a while?  Is US staying with the 3.0 for cost or is it the latest one on the market?  It's not that I'm dissappointed...I was just curious.  I'm not a "DIY" guy & I don't stay on top of component news that often.

I also wanted to ask...do you think that US will ever consider making the covertech knob standard on all the sabers?  Do you think there would be too much negative response to something like that?  I know there is a lot of interest in D-Rings, so I'm sure those folks might not want the knob on their sabers...just a thought.

Instead of Covertec standard on all sabers, maybe just the hole drilled/tapped? Then a separate charge for the Covertec wheel (w/ color choice?) or D-ring (likely cheaper). Sure, it would take away from the extra fee for drilling/tapping for a Covertec but more people would be likely to add the wheel and the belt clip to their orders.
The D-ring can be put on a Covertec-equipped US saber in the same hole, it just has to be held on with the same screw the Covertec was or one with a different head but same threading.

That's a good idea...good for those who want the covertech & the ones that want the d-ring.  However, I always thought that most people who want the d-ring would want it placed on the end...attached to the end of the hilt where the sound vents are...since that's where they were on the originals in the films.  But then I haven't spoken to d-ring fans.  Perhaps they would like them mounted on the sides like the covertech is.  Let us hear from you D-ring fans!!
