I strongly disagree. I like the LEs, and the SEs are nice and shiny, but the std black?.....shmexy. I foresee many policemen getting and gifting these.

Especially that LE. I just priced one, and for me without sound it would be 197$. Not a bad price at all, especially for the longest, widest hilt in the US lineup.
I kind of want one now.

The other part of me is wondering if I actually want sound on them (yes contemplating a pair). With all the added movement of their use, I question how it will sound.

You posed an interesting question. I took a closer look at the full length pic (sorry can't re-post, check website listing). The item description says the length is 15.75", but the
18" blade they show in the image looks shorter than the length of the hilt. This makes me think that they set the blade screw farther back in the hilt to give it more strength.
In the video Emory said that there is a retention screw for the LED module on this one. I don't know if it is something that is going to become standard or not though.
Ok, I might be mistaken. One thing I did notice in the option menus: No pommel selection.
I just want to revist this and say I hope the "few" wasn't just three different versions of the same thing. I really do hope US have an actual SABER design coming out before year's end.
They might have one more, but it's unlikely. I don't think they would unleash that many new hilts before the busiest saber buying season of the year. But then I have been known to make mistakes......from time to time.
As much as I want a new hilt, I wouldn't mind waiting until 1st quarter 2018.

I'd just like the V3 with an activation box lol. I could kind of understand not wanting to put one on from a dueling standpoint before, but the Graflex and Chosen One kind of throw that argument out the window. Doesn't really get in the way much anyway
Actually they do get in the way. If one is determined, they can find a way to work around them. Personally I find the Archon V2.1 to be one of the best premiums for dueling with.
