Sound in v2 hilts. I've done it myself now not with a 3rd party board, but with an Obslite+18500 (14500 would work too) 3.7v battery. US sorely needs to upgrade their chassis (and battery solutions), why not get some 1.14 chassis for the v2 sized hilts?

I think we need a modular electronics system, something that is plug and play. For example, the LED module, the switch, the battery, the speaker, and the control modules should all be plug and play, so the electronics can be customized, too whatever you want.

I’d be down for that. Make it easy for people with zero skills or tools for electronics to be able to customize things. Being able to take an emerald setup from one hilt and put it into another I like better would be cool. Good suggestion man.

Thanks Greywalker83 and Infinit01, points incoming. And here’s hoping we get some modular electronics in the near future.
I’d love to get every saber that US offers and only get maybe five or six electronics modules, that could be swapped between the sabers.

Oh, I didn't event think about that. Though I don't mind soldiering (and actually enjoy it) it would be nice to have a quick and easy way to swap everything out. But to do it right there would need to be a chassis. |

I’m sure it could be done without a chassis.
If each component used say a USB connection, they could be slotted together, and if needed each module could have screws on one end, and screw holes on the other. I think it would be an interesting concept, if done well.
This would also mean we could get a battery that fits the diameter of the saber, and could be larger. We could even possibly layer two batteries together, increasing the power.
