Where would I look to obtain brass and/or aluminum tubing for the purposes of creating hilt bodies?

Well this sucks... all they (Home Depot, Ace, and Lowe's) have is either RGS (too heavy) or EMT (WAAAAAAY too thin).

You could always make your shroud out of Schedule 20 PVC and then paint it with a metallic.
