That's a big desk! Have you considered fishing wire to suspend them from the ceiling? The flyers at least. And on the subject of batman I had a Scuttler for 5 days.  My kid got his hands on it and now I have some lego.   |

I'd like the eventual ending of the LEGO Movie scenario.....minus the invasion from Planet DUPLO. I would allow my kids to play with my collection, but rule #1 would be no one messes with anyone else's creations without permission. |

We have 3 display tables in the play room upstairs for Legos (me, wife, son). Anything on those is considered a collectible and not to be touched by anyone other than the owner/caretaker of that particular table. Then we have a bin of Legos for creating/playing that is open to anyone. So that the misc bin does not lose too many pieces, most of the items on the display tables are complete builds. For a unique creation to make it onto a display table, a presentation of the piece and a vote is held to see if it is "worthy" of untouchable status. Very few get by which keeps the bar high, my son is by far the best creator of all of us.
