Oh my goodness, amazing martial arts movie! Easily my favorite... I can't believe it took me this long to watch it.
For those of you who have seen it, I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to watching it.
For those of you who haven't seen it... Donnie Yen is the man! He does an amazing job, and the fight scenes are absolutely ridiculous! (in the best way)

Everybody Wing Chun tonight!  All around the movie has action and drama and history, which made it all that much more fun to watch.. I'm glad you enjoyed it, here's a point. |

I can't believe I haven't seen it yet, especially considering that I can watch it for free on Amazon! I'll probably watch it tomorrow. Honestly, I haven't watched many movies since I watched Triangle (of course I saw Retribution, though  ). |

I liked this scene from the movie...I really liked how different the Northern Stylist moved...I liked him quite a bit...then he tried to cheat, sigh lol

Yeah the Northern Stylist was cool, until he turned out to be a punk... I like how he made fun of Wing Chun, and IP tells him something to the effect of there is no style, just the man... I'm heavily paraphrasing, but I loved the concept.
VorNach, I'm totally going to watch the second one.

do it! the second is great too! I studied wing chun for a year and it was awesome, then I saw the movie and was like... !!!!! I know how to do that! i have no idea how to do THAT.. OOohh I know that and that and that and that, and .... !!!! not that.. So AWESOME!

Fan Siu-Wong: aka: Louis Fan: aka: Terry Fan. Was a big Wushu star in the 90's. Ironically, most of what he was doing in the scene was from the "Southern Style" set he was noted for back then. I dig the fights in Ip Man, but don't believe a word of it as history. About as accurate as the Abe Lincoln and the zombies movie . |
