First saber, will all these components work ?

New. going to buy my first saber, just curious if all these components will work ?

body - Yari
emitter - war glaive
pommel - catalyst
claws - 2 0r 4 raven claws normal edition
blade - Mid-grade Blade 36"
color - fire orange or SunRiders destiny

as for technical stuff and sound im not sure on how that works :\

What Im going for: I like the idea of a long hilt saber at least as long as my forearm 12" to 15"

Are you making this yourself? keep in mind that the yari extension does not come with a switch hole, so one will need to be drilled
 
Seems like a cool idea but don't forget that if you want sound you need these added to your list:
- Li - ion rechargable bateries
- Battery holder/ speaker combo
- Battery Charger
- Buck puck or resistor
- Momentary switch

If this is going to be a stunt saber you will need these:
- Li - ion rechargables, rechargable AAA NiMh batteries (4), or regular alkalines (4)
- Battery holder
- buck puck or resistor
- latching switch
- Charger for Li - ion or  a charger for NiMh batteries (depending on which battery solution you choose)

I was just trying to make a saber with a long handle/hilt. but since the yari doesn't have a switch hole do you have any ofther suggestions of hilt/couplers/extensions that could make a fairly long hilt ? like maybe an initiate with a yari ? or initiate with a few couplers on it im not sure

Yes actually I would suggest the initiate v3 then the flush coupler with vents for the sound, coupled to the yari with maybe a catalyst pommel on the end of the yari. Even if you arent going to have sound I would use vented couplers just in case you add sound in the future.

The Yari extension is 15", and most sabers range from 9-14", so with the coupler and pommel it should end in about 25-30". Using the initiate(9" long) would end in ~25".

The sabers with MHS emitters are: Overlord, Catalyst, Dark Catalyst, Shock, Dark Shock, Shock LE, Arbiter, Dark Arbiter, War Glaive, Dark War Glaive, Consular, Archon v2, Malice.

Very nice! pretty much exactly what I was going to do but with raven claws and fire orange blade. how long is it the hilt ? and I totally dig it dude thank you for posting it :]

If your buying your first saber, and your not familiar with the technical part. I would get one off the website's pre built list becuase sabers can be tricky to put together and unless your already familiar with how they work and what wires go where and how to install the switch and stuff you might dump a bunch of money into parts and come up with nothing.

Because if you mess up drilling that hole you are kinda up shell creek, if you know what I mean.

Also the war glavie and the raven claws aren't compatible.

Note on a few things: You WANT the Quick Disconnect (aka QD) becuase if you want to EVER change your color (and you will at some point) its easier to have the QD installed when you first by your saber than to send it back to have it installed.

Nickel Plating is nice but you can get the same shine on the sliver parts of your saber if you just shine them with machine glaze for cars. There is a tortual under customizations.

Also if you ever think you might want to hang your saber from your belt. Get the covertec clip and the wheel installed now.
