Title: Custom Standard Issue Post by: thejedimasternick on February 13, 2011, 06:04:02 AM Ok guys, here is a little customization I did to my standard issue. The saber itself is amazing. I love the design and the simplicity of it. Very durable, very strong, and an overall awesome saber. So, I weathered it up a bit. I did the whole saber originally, but I wanted a little more. So I tried to go a little Rahm Kota and put some leather wrappings around the hilt. Probably not done with it yet, but here is what I got so far.

Title: Re: Custom Standard Issue Post by: thejedimasternick on February 13, 2011, 07:22:56 AM @Caine yeah, it is more of a personal thing. I was iffy about it too but it came out all right. I will probably end up changing it around some way again. I have some pics before the wrap too. Might put them up. Thank you by the way
@Master_Stockton Rustoleum black paint. Just play with it. Get a feel for the way it aborbs into the hilt and go with it. Title: Re: Custom Standard Issue Post by: Duff Man on February 13, 2011, 09:30:19 AM Nice, Simple and Functional. Just as long as it doesn't unravel, I had that problem with mine and had to tape the ends.
Title: Re: Custom Standard Issue Post by: thejedimasternick on February 14, 2011, 05:46:00 AM I was able to seal the wrapping, so if I want to take it off, it would be easy to do so. Still working out the functionality of the saber, so I will change a few things.
Title: Re: Custom Standard Issue Post by: ThreadJack on February 14, 2011, 08:45:15 PM I like this. Leather wraps always= Win IMO.
