Title: The Dark War Glaive Blazing Red Post by: JdiKnhtJMH on April 10, 2011, 08:56:48 AM I want to start this off with a photograph, though I can't get it too clear thanks to the brightness of the blade.
(http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n586/jarret921/IMAG0255.jpg) It's hard to see, but that's my arm, and under the choke of that lightsaber is my index finger, and the saber is balanced on it. This is the best balanced Ultrasaber product I've ever owned, and that really thrills the hell out of me. I like a saber with great balance and style, and the War Glaive and Dark version have that in spades. (http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n586/jarret921/IMAG0250.jpg) I got it with the silver claws to add a little bit more style and contrast and I think that's the way to go with this particular model. I later added a strip of aluminum tape above the activator for a little personal flair, but that's the only alteration I could imagine making to such a perfect weapon. I like the way they did the pommel piece on the rear, it has holes cut out for sound if I ever want to put any in, and if I was going to put sound into any of my sabers it'd be this one. Title: Re: The Dark War Glaive Blazing Red Post by: darth tratus on October 10, 2011, 11:42:50 PM every time i see a dark war glaive i get jealous because i have an unfinished one. i actually got into an argument with my mom because every time i ask her if we can go get a soldering kit she has an excuse. the silver claws is the best fit for this saber(my opinion) looks cool in red. mine is va and will have a yellow av switch.. kahm sounds like you got a cool one yourself ;)

I want to get the saber the same way for my wife but the light side War Glaive with black claws and in Consular Green with Obsidian. Her favorite color is green so I'm going to get her a green saber in the future.

Can you tell me what blade grade you used here? Mid-Grade or Heavy-Grade..? I plan midgrade blade.. but I also am thinking of the catalyst pommel. ... So balance should end up fine in the end again. Mine's going to be BR also, but I opted for the red illuminated AV switch and I also got the Obsidian sound board. Seeing everyone else getting theirs in, I can't wait to unpack mine!
