Title: Looks can be deceiving... Post by: Big Andy on December 26, 2012, 05:59:54 PM (http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/Neil_BigBoss/IMG_3023.jpg)
Well as the title states the looks of this saber are quite deceiving as when you first look at this saber it looks like a BR Consular. However upon farther inspection you discover that it's not. As everyone know I buy ultimate fx sabers (mostly qui-gon) to harvest the sound boards for "eco-sound" in some of my sabers. Well after time I've built up a small collection of empty ultimate FX hilts. Well I had an extra BR led module and an extra latching switch in my "spare parts box" along with a spare mid-grade blade just lying around, and so I got the genius idea to install the switch, blade, and led into the empty FX hilt to make a cheap stunt saber, mostly for costuming purposes since it's not even close to as durable as ultras' sabers are. Anyways less talking from me know it's time for more pics... Now my nephew and niece each have a saber to play with when they come over and I don't have to stress about them breaking one of my Ultras'. Title: Re: Looks can be deceiving... that is some darn good handy FX work thre with the lighter burns for weathering ... makes for perfect blaster miss guards, and saber parry strikes that were a close call for the fingers..... even maby it was blasted by a blaster bolt from a bounty hunter out of the jedi's hand, or away from the jedi's reach after being unarmed.... VERY VERY nice work |
