Title: Scratches on hilt Nickel vs Normal
Post by: Sky Dragon c5 on March 20, 2013, 04:43:13 AM
I was wondering if scratches don't happen as much as on Nickel Platted sabers vs normal silver finish?

I know nickel shows finger prints more though.

I just wanted to know before I order a graflex, consular, or Overlord.

Hi SD.  I have the nickel Graf and Consular with nickel shroud, but am still babying them six months in!  :-[  I'll try to remember this thread when I finally...christen...them.   ;D

One thing about the Overlord: if you are thinking of putting a non-Overlord pommel on the saber, then it might be better to get the regular version to match the emitter to the pommel. My Bellicose short groove's silver parts match the emitter I got perfectly though, and that's why I went with normal finish. The regular version was shiny on its own, but the nickel would certainly give it a nice sparkle. I put the Bellicose pommel on the Overlord to give the Obsidian a resonance chamber as the low profile Overlord pommel was lacking in that regard.

If your Overlord is a stunt, I say go full nickel and profit from the shinies!
