Title: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Sensei21 on March 21, 2013, 06:11:01 AM For my 20th birthday (March 21st) my lovely fiance spent the cash to get me something I've wanted for a very long time; an ultrasaber.
In the 4 years we've been together I've probably made about a ton of lightsabers on here, so she had a pretty good feeling for some things I wanted. So yesterday and very tall package arrived in the mail and I was lucky enough to open it early! Inside was this: (Grab bag) Dark Standard Issue, Vertical Grooves Ultraedge Heavy Blade (or is it mid, I can't recall exactly) Blade Plug Wrench Covertech installed on base oh hilt with Covertech clip The color was Sun Rider's Destiny, one of my favorites! So far, I love this beast of a blade. The amount of time and effort put into this product is so obvious that I can't help but question the pricing, how is it so cheap??!! It's practically robbery! I feel as if the Grab Bag sabers are TOO good of a deal for the amount of excellence I am given. It's astounding to no end. This particular hilt is a real beauty, a perfect example of simplicity at it's best. With a strong and solid weight, an amazing size, and an unexpectedly powerful emitter, I was caught off guard. The only complaint I might have is that the machined edges (horizontal) on the top by the emitter are a bit sharp and might cause some irritation with certain techniques. Aside from this small flaw I am overjoyed to finally say I HAVE AN ULTRASABER!!! I'll probably keep getting Grab Bag sabers for a while, as they're cheap and attractive. The sounds are great, but I'm not willing to pay so much just yet. Thanks for an excellent product Ultrasaber! Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Sky Dragon c5 on March 21, 2013, 06:18:20 AM Again Best Grab Bag Ever...in my opinion.
Unless you got sound, somehow. Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Darth Bello on March 21, 2013, 10:09:47 AM Is grab bag random everything?
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Vex on March 21, 2013, 10:56:50 AM Grab Bags can be anything. There have been a few with sound but that's kind of rare.
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Sensei21 on March 21, 2013, 03:53:20 PM The only thing you can pick in a grab bag is the blade type (which is extra) and the color (which is extra). Other than that the hilt type and model are completely random.
After looking through the options I must say I really did win with this one! Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: steviewonder1125 on June 27, 2013, 06:24:06 AM Very excited! Just ordered my first Ultrasaber yesterday with the 10% off sale. Aeon LE V3, Arctic Blue, UEHG.
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Aurick on June 27, 2013, 12:12:18 PM Point to you for your first saber!
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Zren Tobas on June 28, 2013, 12:34:40 AM Point for going with the Aeon. =] Nice Grab Bag. I really like the Aeon hilts. I got the regular though as a stunt in Adegan Silver so I can play around with colors and make my own.
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: steviewonder1125 on June 29, 2013, 04:40:52 AM My first Ultrasaber just arrived early this evening. I'm in Canada, and it got here in only 48 hours! Impressive. It's an Aeon LE V3 in Arctic Blue. Far exceeded my expectations! :D
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Green_Rider on July 05, 2013, 01:59:47 PM So i have a question about the grab bag. The hilt and model are all random, and the final product would be a stunt saber. Is it possible, after the order is received, to update the saber to be equipped with sound? As a DIY or sending it back to US?
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Aurick on July 05, 2013, 05:10:26 PM Yes, so long as the model is a v3. I plan on doing this with my liberator. Not sure on the cost though if its more or less than if buying it pure built in. Hope that helps!
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Green_Rider on July 05, 2013, 07:02:18 PM Thank you Aurick, that does help.
Title: Re: My First Ultrasaber Post by: Zren Tobas on July 05, 2013, 07:55:08 PM I think it would be cheaper to buy just a sound installed hilt. Think about it. The cost of the board, extra wire if needed, new LED, battery/speaker pack, so on. It doesn't hurt to have a stunt and sounded version of the same saber.
