Title: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? Post by: jyn-toar on March 22, 2013, 08:37:47 PM Hi all! I'm looking for a pic of a Prophecy and Manticore side by side, to see width comparisons. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Post by: InfinityBlaze on March 22, 2013, 08:50:43 PM I don't have the sabers, but the Manticore is 1.5 inches, and the Prophecy is 1.45 inches at its thickest point. The prophecy has several choke points, so I think it would feel thinner. Sorry, I don't have any pics. Hope I helped though.

I have small hands, and I wanted to see (or read) how similar they are in width. Thanks again!Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? I don't have a manticore sorry, the choke points on the prophecy feel really nice and are in the perfect positions. I find myself using it as a one hander because of it's length but for someone with smaller hands it would be a great 2h. Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? Post by: Jabari on March 29, 2013, 01:44:08 AM I also have small hands and I find the Prophecy perfectly sized. I've never seen a Manticore in person though, so I can't compare.

The slim and shorter design, which I appreciate as a one handed Makashi stylist, is perfect for folks with smaller hands. Of course, even for larger hands it works - I'm a big dude (6'2") and I use it to great effect.

Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? Post by: Zren Tobas on March 29, 2013, 05:59:09 PM I say go for a Prophecy if you don't want a big saber. I know the Overlord isn't too too big but still. Prophecy would be a better starter saber I think.

I'd love to get one, but I'm hoping they re-release the LE (silver and black) one. That and my Visa card hates me. ;D Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? How interesting, but I think I'd be willing to pay for a nickel version instead! Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? Title: Re: Prophecy and Manticore side-by-side shot? Post by: sedstiskyfaller on May 16, 2014, 01:24:41 PM I didn't realize the Prophecy was that small until seeing it next to those other sabers.
