That leatherwork is really well done. I love how form fitting but characteristic it makes the saber.

That is SO cool! I love the leather too! I also love the thumb screw...

suggestion: perhaps add something minor to the emitter like a small shroud...but other than that its awesome!

Nice Aeon. I like everything about it so far. I say do a slanted emitter so two of the front windows still shows. That would look cool.

Hey Vex - I was going to follow the leather tutorial on here, but when I went to the leather store and explained what I wanted to do the guy that worked there mad a great suggestion. He told me that there was stretchy leather, and that is what I used. The saber is 4.25" inches around I cut leather about 4" sewed it up and slid it on. I used the O-rings to hide the cut ends of the leather.

Hope this helps

That Looks AWASOME! I can't stop looking at it. Truely outstanding job. It looks like a lightsaber that was found in an ancient tomb. A weapon from the Jedi of old.

One thing that I notice is that it is not a "safe" modifiaction that can be undone if you did not like the result. You went all of the way without looking back. Point for total commitment.

I wasn't logged in, i was just killing some time, but i had to comment on this. Really well done, it looks great, was it hard trying to drill those holes in the emitter straite?. Anyway it looks awesome, i bet you can't stop looking at it, i know i can't

Thanks Guys.....
It was not hard to make the wholes b/c I had a friend with a drill press and with the right bit it went right though no problem... The hardest part was adding the hook at the end of the saber. We had to drill one big hole half way though for the nut the a smaller whole for the hook.

I still want to add a slit to the emitter just have to find a way to do it.

Outright fantastic.

This really looks the battle-worn saber it should be. Your customization makes it so much more realistic, in my opinion, and it must FEEL amazing!

Great Job and my deepest respect!
