Hey guys, just recieved my first custom saber hilt! Before I order the electronics or blade, do you think this looks more like a jedi hilt or a sith hilt? (This will determine what color blade i order)

That could be either, TBH. It would pass as a Maul-esque saber, but also has a Ki Adi Mundi look to it as well with the all-silver. I can see why you asked as it could be used either way.

A better question is, would you prefer a Sith hilt or a Jedi hilt? Add quick disconnects to the MLS, and you could make it either/or by ordering another color MLS unit alongside the order. Then it would be both! Seriously, you stumped me here! You have a saber that would work either way, and man, I love that Manticore emitter with the Bellicose SG pommel!

Thanks for the input, im still leaning torward fire orange for color, but having a sith blade also holds a special allure, might just get both like you suggested. Also i was debating when i ordered it whether i wanted the bellicose pommel or the catalyst pommel. Glad i chose this one! :)

There's your answer, then - your first 'sabre, and one you're building yourself, probably ought to go with your natural inclination.

I might suggest instead of Fire Orange, get an MLS led in Pyrestone Orange with quick disconnects. It has a much deeper hue (from pics I've seen) than the normal FO. Also the QD helps if you want to swap out for a Jedi colour!

Pyrestone Orange is Ultrasabers' version of Heart of the Guardian from KotOR 1.

I would recommend getting PO with QD's for a more openly Sith color, as that's your natural tendency..... but I'd also recommend you pick up another MLS unit with QD's you can swap out when you feel like it. Bare with me on that... because looking at this hilt there are two colors I think of. FO is the first, but I say take PO instead because it tends to be a more popular (and generally more sithy) color. The second, well..... I just think SY would look awesome on that thing. SY, and some light to moderate weathering would just make that. :)

Would i have to get the color discs then? Because according to the site, neither SY or PO is available for the MLS.

Are you sure? I am pretty sure you just order a premium colour (Violet/Sun Rider) and then in the order comments requiest the PO or SY (or DVA, Emerald)

I could be mistaken, but I believe forum-color MLS units are possible.  They still incur the extra $5 requisition charge.

What never failed for me was ordering SRD for all my forum colors, then adding the 5 requisition charges to the order, and when checking out, specify '5 reqs for forum color PO'. (Or EG and SY in my case).

Yeah I forgot to mention the $5 req charge for the noob, sorry! Yeah there's a sticky thread in the "Ultrasabers Questions" section explaining how to get the Secret forum colors.

Yup, everything is ordered and should be here by the beginning of next week (depending on day of shipment) then just some wiring and ill be good to go ;D

Well ,ill probably be waiting another half week or so, US sent the wrong color LED so i just sent that back to be fixed, still really want to see this all built.
